Planning updates as of May 2007
admin May 20th, 2007
Dear friends,
We are pleased to announce that both our reception and dinner venues have been booked and confirmed. The wedding ceremony and reception will be held at Top Hat Restaurant in the morning. As their profile shouts “….housed in one of the few remaining grand mansions still extant in the city, with a large garden of angsana trees, overgrown with heliconias…”, the plan is to have canopies set up in the garden for the religious ceremony and a reception thereafter.
The wedding dinner will be hosted at the Sime Darby Convention Centre, located in the resort setting of the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club vicinity off Jalan Bukit Kiara (on the way to Sri Hartamas and Mon’t Kiara). Like every other Chinese wedding banquet, pre-dinner cocktails will be served prior to the dinner during arrival of guests.
We have also booked our official photographer with Jason of Camwork Photo for the wedding day. We will not be taking any pre-wedding photos at the studio instead taking some casual impromptu ones during the marriage registration (scheduled for February 2008) and possibly some portraits with the family once the wedding gown is ready.
Speaking of which we have met up with the wedding gown maker, Kris of That Special Occasion yesterday to conceptualize and come up with some ideas for the dress. Designs were sketched and no, i shall not be sharing them here….! You will have to wait till 08-03-08 to see the real deal.
On a separate note, our cozy little apartment is soon ready for occupation, with the final touches to the kitchen being done and is scheduled for completion by the end of this month. This would mean a housewarming party is in the pipeline and a wish list of possible gifts for our home will be put up soon to help ease your purchasing decisions.
Moving on we would soon start to put together the wedding committee with all our helpers listed out, as well as start marriage counseling in June.
292 days to go!
